Questions about our services

What is mental health?

According to www.mentalhealth.gov "mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood."

What types of therapy do you offer?

Our therapists employ a wide range of methods including

Am I eligible to receive services from K.A.?

You are eligible for our services if you:

  • Live in the Treasure Valley AND
  • Are an active Medicaid member OR have HCA Healthcare (beginning January 2020)

Where is the clinic located?

We have recently moved to our own building at 405 N Allumbaugh St. Boise, ID 83704. We are located within five minutes of Intermountain Hospital, Family Medicine Health Center, and St. Alphonsus Hospital.

Do I have to come to the clinic for appointments?

No. Our therapists are more than happy to meet you at your home for counseling sessions, and our case managers and peer support specialists can meet you at any location. We aim to provide the most accessible and comfortable care possible.

Do I have to enroll in all services?

No. While most of our clients benefit from a combination of services, we recognize that everyone's needs and preferences differ. Your treatment plan will determine recommended services, but you are not required to use all of them.

Do you offer medication management?

Yes. Our certified psychiatric nurse practitioner can prescribe and help you to manage your psychiatric and other medications as needed.
